The Business Booster 2018

Premier energy innovation event: The Business Booster takes place on 17 and 18 October in Copenhagen


Under the motto “The Future is now”, on 17 and 18 October The Business Booster, the forum for sustainable energy innovation, will be bringing together more than 700 start-ups, industry representatives, investors and decision makers from over 30 countries. In addition to the presentations of the start-ups the event organised by knowledge and innovation network InnoEnergy also includes lectures, discussion groups and interactive sessions. The accompanying exhibition will be showing over 150 energy innovations.

Krampitz Communications responsible for press relations

We are supporting organiser InnoEnergy in the PR work for the event. Our task, as well as conceptualisation and consulting, looking after journalists from Denmark, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Portugal, Sweden and Spain, preparing and positioning PR material, also includes the organisation and supervision of a press conference in Copenhagen. We are very much looking forward to the cooperation!

Last week we attended the international trade fair Energy Storage Europe in Düsseldorf for the third time. Unlike previous years, this time more exhibitors were from the large and industrial scale storage sector. The trade fair, which took place between 13 and 15 March, attracted a total of around 4,500 visitors.

The German Wind Energy Association (BWE) booked our agency to give a lecture at their workshop on Wind energy as perceived by the media and the general public – How we face the challenges. In addition to the press officers from eight BWE regional associations, participants in the workshop, which took place on 15 January in Hanover, also included numerous representatives of wind farm developers.

Interactive Workshop, Interesting Discussions: Krampitz Communications at the New Energy World Forum in Berlin


At the 18th New Energy World Forum in Berlin on 16 November, and in keeping with the motto of Small Budget, Big Impact, Krampitz Communications explained how you can make headlines and increase your visibility with even a small budget. Participants at the interactive workshop learned how to develop a concept and select the right activities depending on the communication objective and target group. Using current examples in the wind sector, Iris Krampitz and Thomas Blumenhoven also showed what happens if you leave all the press work to the opposition (link).

Nobody to talk to, lack of communication


PR Agency Krampitz Communications has analysed the reasons for negative headlines about wind energy and presented the results at the 26th Wind Energy Days in Warnemünde

Between 21 July and 30 October 2017, PR Agency Krampitz Communications examined all freely available local press articles relating to the key words citizens’ initiative wind power, wind power citizens and wind power event. The result: 150 articles prioritised the position of the wind power opponents. 118 articles presented both the advantages and disadvantages of the projects. The agency followed up by telephoning the three most critical journalists.

Wind Energy Days in Warnemünde: Krampitz Communications explains how to react to negative headlines


The wind industry is regularly hit by negative headlines, be they about distance regulations, subsonic noise or shadow casting. But how does this one-sided reporting come about? Are journalists really so negative when it comes to renewable energy? We wanted to get to the bottom of this, and so we asked these critical editors. Attendees can learn the answers in our talks at this year’s Wind Energy Days. We will also be explaining how your company and the industry in general can best position themselves in the media.

Around 140,000 readers reached with five trade contributions: Krampitz Communications places editorial contributions without placing advertisements


Since 2004 we have been placing substantial contributions in the editorial sections of print and online media without our clients having to place advertisements. We have achieved this by choosing good topics, using journalistic style and the right form of address. As in this summer, with our specialist contributions for the magazines GEBÄUDEDIGITAL, Energie & Management, i-Quadrat, Elektrojournal and TGA Fachplaner, we reached around 140,000 readers on behalf of or client SolarMax. These trade journals are aimed at decision makers and experts in the energy industry, the maintenance sector and electricians.

Krampitz Communications carries out successful social media campaign: 233 new followers and 228,000 impressions


Our social media campaign for Bachmann Electronic was a complete success. At this year’s HUSUM Wind the Austrian company celebrated reaching the milestone of 100,000 automated wind turbines. To expand the number of followers and address the right target groups we developed a social media concept, drew up an editorial schedule, positioned statements and undertook networking.

Hundreds of thousands of users reached

Before and during HUSUM Wind we communicated the most important news items via the company’s new Twitter account and their existing LinkedIn channel – whether it was about IT security, condition monitoring or details about their stand party. We were able to gain 233 new followers on Twitter and 55 new followers on LinkedIn. At the end of the campaign we were able to register 228,000 Tweet impressions and 5,700 profile visits, plus 56,500 LinkedIn impressions.
