The technical service provider Faber Infrastructure and electrical wholesaler YESSS have been using mobile solar power stations as a power source in Bad Neuenahr, which was particularly affected by the flood disaster. The autonomous plants have already helped to save 3,400 litres of diesel fuel since their installation. With their voluntary project, the companies want to ring in a paradigmatic change and prove that a secure initial power supply from renewable energies is possible in disaster events.
The storage manufacturer INTILION from Paderborn has been listed as a supplier of its battery storage systems for Enel with immediate effect. As a qualified partner of Enel’s subsidiaries Enel X and Enel Green Power, INTILION will supply its storage systems for commercial and industrial projects with up to ten megawatt hours of capacity. “Being a qualified partner of a giant in the energy industry that is at the forefront of the energy and mobility transition worldwide is a big step towards internationalisation for us. We are looking forward to the first projects that we will realise together in Europe in the future,” says Karthik Sathyakumar, International Sales Manager for Energy Storage Systems at INTILION.
Wind pioneer ENOVA has bought two wind farms with a total capacity of 26 megawatts from Danish energy supplier EWII. In Görlitz, Saxony, the 18-MW Ludwigsdorf wind farm consists of ten Enercon E-66 turbines dating from 2004. At the 8-MW Meschede wind farm, four Vestas V-90 turbines have been producing environmentally friendly electricity in the Hochsauerland district of North Rhine-Westphalia since 2005. ENOVA intends to replace the 14 old turbines with six more powerful turbines. The repowering is expected to increase the total output from 26 to approx. 40 megawatts.
The trade conference and trade fair for off-grid solar, wind and hydropower systems and self-sufficient power supply OFF-GRID Expo + Conference is opening its gates at the trade fair grounds in Augsburg on December 2 and 3, 2021. This year, the event and the TechDay on December 1 are taking place in person and online. Alongside the conference with international experts, more than 50 exhibitors will be presenting their off-grid solutions and innovations at the accompanying trade fair. Organic photovoltaics (OPV) expert ASCA has expanded the color portfolio of its solar films by integrating new acceptor materials into its products. The ASCA company is receiving the novel materials from its long-standing partner Nano-C.
By using new semiconductor materials, organic solar cell expert ASCA has increased the efficiency of its modules by 40 percent. The new components are supplied by Taiwanese company Raynergy Tek.
The Swiss manufacturer ROOMZ has integrated ASCA®´s organic photovoltaic modules to upgrade their wireless meeting-room management devices and power them with light. The “ROOMZ Display” solutions efficiently manage and optimize the use of workspaces. As a start of the campaign, customers who already operate ROOMZ Displays can now purchase the “Solar Kit” with the ASCA® solution to be integrated and to replace batteries and thus save maintenance and operational costs. While a battery set typically lasts for approximately 24 months, no replacement is needed when the Solar Kit is used. The new retrofit solution is now commercially available worldwide.
The expert for solar-electric heat generation my-PV has opened its new headquarters after a construction period of only seven months. In its new building in Neuzeug, the Austrian manufacturer is pursuing its “cables instead of pipes” concept and setting standards in solar-electric heat supply.
The ASCA® solar films can be used in a wide range of applications
from individual small projects to facades in commercial housing construction. In the community of Löchgau in Germany the company has designed, conceived and implemented a solar tree for the construction company STRENGER Bauen und Wohnen.
